TOPIC: THE DEMANDS OF GOD IN THE LIFE OF MAN.
SCRIPTURE: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. MATTHEW 6:33
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Anyone who has your heart has your life.
We live in a generation where many people are interested in what they can get from God without caring about what God wants from them. Proverbs 23:26 says, My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.
So, there are demands God makes on the life of man. And today, we shall be looking at those demands.
Now, what does God want from you?
1. Your Heart: God wants you to give Him your heart (Proverbs 23:26). God wants to own your heart and life. He wants your life to revolve around Him. Some young people today already gave their hearts over to women, men, immorality, gambling, fraud, materialism, etc. And anyone who has your heart has your life. If God has your heart, He has your life.
2. Existence in His Likeness: God wants you to exist in His likeness (Genesis 1:26) God wants you to look like Him. You must come to a point where your spirituality swallows up your carnality. God does not want His children to look like the children of the devil in character and in dressing (1Peter 3:3, 1Timothy 2:9).
3. Existence in His Consciousness: God wants you to exist in His consciousness (Isaiah 26:3). Living in the consciousness of God’s presence and being in conscious communion with God gives Him pleasure. It also guarantees your eternity.
4. Existence in the Consciousness of Eternity: God wants you to exist in the consciousness of eternity. What that means is, you know that God is real, and you also know that heaven and hell are real.
Beloved, if you want success and breakthrough with God in this world and in the world to come, you must meet these demands.
Remember this: Anyone who has your heart has your life.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Ask God for mercy if you have been living a life that is not pleasing to Him.
2. Renew your mind daily with the Word of God.
PRAYER: Lord, I surrender my all to You. Have me to Yourself and make me a true reflection of Your Image and Likeness on earth, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

ABOUT: Dr. Paul Enenche is a distinguished Nigerian pastor, medical doctor, gospel singer, and author. He is the founder and senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), headquartered in Abuja, Nigeria. Born on June 4, 1968, in Otukpo, Benue State, he transitioned from a medical career to full-time ministry in 1996, following a divine calling.
